...to get the materials (to cover it) to construct something like this

or maybe continue it behind each of the front seats to make a wall to wall unit, possibly incorporating a tv/dvd player?

or even a roof mounted tv

the making of the unit wouldn't fase me to much, its where do you get the right materials to lessen the knocked up in my shed look?

maybe not but if the finish is spot on it takes the eye away from the non original look

The material that flows nicely around curves to create the look will be 3 or 4-way stretch fabric..

Make a wooden/fiberglass/metal frame, cover it in thin seating/padding/wadding material with sprayon adheasive glue and then spray some more on top of that to put the 4-way stretch material over it.

you can get all the stuff from ebay

a while back i found a web site www.the12volt.com which has lots of info on wiring up accessories and sound systems and also a couple of how toos on building and finishing speaker enclosures and things such as fitting tvs into headrests unfortunately its an american site so no transit specific info but lots of general interest
