I KNOW THE SUBJECT HAS ARISEN BEFORE , BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE SPARE WHEEL CARRIER FROM A LANDROVER OR A DISCOVERY WILL TAKE A TRANSIT WHEEL, DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE STUD PATTERN, AS SINCE MY NEW SEATING ARRANGEMENT, I HAVE NOWHERE TO PUT THE SPARE WHEEL. I KNOW BLUE VAN MAN HAS GOT A SIMILAR CARRIER, BUT THAT ONE INVOLVES CUTTING AND WELDING. JUST WONDERED IF THERE IS ONE THAT WILL FIT STRAIGHT ON. THANKS

a disco spare wheel carrier might be the way to go as the pcd is very close to the transit i think its 5mm out

HOW MANY STUDS HAS THE DISCO ONES GOT, AS SOME I HAVE SEEN HAVE ONLY GOT THREE STUDS ON IN A TRIANGLE PATTERN. HAVE YOU GOT A LANDROVER 100PS ? IF SO MAYBE YOU COULD TRY IT. THANKS

my dad has a s1 but thats from 48 so i think they invented a spare wheel carrier since then :lol:

ye disco's do have 3 stud spare wheel carriers but they should be ok if modded to the right pcd :wink:

er mate not sure which way round the pcd is between the transit and landie it should just be a case of bending the studs to fit :lol:

didn't get one but no they dont fit i lost interest .i think it would be easier to have one made dont think it would cost that much and who knows you might sell em

alrite mate i got a vw one off ebaay for a fiver an just redrilled the holes to fit my spare wheel if thats helps :idea:

THATS GREAT MATE, DID YOU WELD BOLTS ON, OR JUST PUT BOLTS THROUGH THE HOLES, IF SO WHAT TYPE OF BOLTS DID YOU USE.

yer i just redrilled them and fitted 12mm bolts with nyloc nut so they dont work lose its ok so far :lol:

yer im putting pics on next week i fitted on the passanger rear door fitted ok im fitting my 17"" wheels next week so thats why im posting then plus me cameras f&*cked ive just seen a transit on ebay withn fitted on give u some idea but hes got a plastic/chrome cover on his :twisted:
