Info on a possible mod!!!

Hi,

I have a question, thats probably already been asked, but basically, I am looking to do an engine swap on my 96' swb 80. Not an outlandish one, but i was wondering weather any of the mk6 engines will go in. Looking maybe to go for a 2.5 tdci unit.

Anyone done anything similar!!!!

not heard of one in a mk5 but transitgeoff has fitted on into a mk1

might be 1 or 2 but for some reason at the shows he dont like to have the bonnet up

Don't really want a mk6 to be honest, grown quite fond of the mk5.

If no one on here has done that mod, would anyone know another source that I can get the information from. Its something i'm very interested in giving a go!!!!

well if its possible for it to go into a mk1 anything must be possible,the wiring loom would prob be a pain for starters just my two bobs worth
