2.9 V6 from ambulance.

Does anyone know what the power and torque is of the genuine ambulance 2.9 V6 please?
Also anyone know the differences between that and a Sierra 4X4 2.9? i.e power and mechanical differences.

i think the sierra has 160bhp and the transit has 150bhp i think they tuned the engine for more torque tho

oh and mechanically not much but the airflow meters and air filter is differtnt position

gearbox wise ...... totally different

I thought the amby might have been about 120 bhp, cos I remember the old Essex 3 litre was 100 bhp in the amby and 125 in the car (Zodiac at the time). We have now got a 2.9 in an Autosleeper Frisky so hope its going to be a bit more
frisky than with the pinto!!!
Does anyone know if the valves, camshaft etc are different in the car engine?

My late type 2.8 mfi from a Granada, book BHP is 160, so I would think it would be at least the same

fitted an ambulance engine and gearbox in the bus and swopped injection setup for a 38dgas on granada manifold with a few other bits to make swop simple and got 136 bhp set up on a rolling road drives real sweet
