Deep dished 20" six stud wheels 6" PCD

don't know what happened in my brain there, it's actually 6")

What is the measurement on a Transit by the way? Are these anywhere close?

If you hang around agri engineers and old farms long enough you'll see hundreds of old JCB and Tractor Wheels which look deep enough with a PCD to match a Mk5 six stud....Will they take 70mph though - that is the question!

Re-measured these today cos realised I wrote 114 and realised it was nothing like that.

It's actually 6" which is 152.4mm (ish)

mk4/5 with 6 studs have a pattern of 6 x 180. Mk3s have 6 x 170

I think the thing that IS so alluring about these wheels is the fact that they can be redrilled to a six stud PCD and have a centre bore that matches more or less! I do remember one winter evening spending about the best part of two hours just staring at an old '70's JCB front wheel in a shed just imagining the possibilities!

6 stud wheels are set well back from the studs, so much so that the studs stick out further than the wheels. If you were to redrill and fit these you would end up with more of the wheel sticking out the arch than under it.

So try it
Find a set.
Have the centre moved and re-welded
Get 'em re-drilled and chromed
Take out a second mortgage for some tyres
And you got yourself some 20s

Post up the pics when it's done, yeah
