Engine conversions?

Postby chunky73 » Sat Feb 26, 2011 10:54 am

Hi again :D
I recently posted about the posibility of fitting a chevy V8 Td into my mk5 camper project but as great as that would be i have to stay on planet earth,
so does anyone know of what other 4cyl diesel units would fit? I was thinking isuzu 3.1, Iveco 2.8, or any other half decent 4 pot
with a bit more go and not a serious amount of electronic barriers to overcome?

Hi Luke,
They did 2 sizes in this engine 3.0 and 3.1 but the 3.1 was a much tougher unit
and they both came out of the trooper.. :)
