xenon lights for a mk5

Will a xenon lights kit from a escort or any other ford fit a mk5 transit
I was thinking of this

I would like xenon lights in my van and i can't find any for a mk5 transit but loads for ford escort and thought may be i could use one of them kits

Would the laws in Ireland be different to here? As they obviously aren't legal here.

The law here is odd at time but as i see it lot of cars have them so why not I'm going to look for a kit and install them i'm not out for the bright blue or any other color look just a crisp sharp white that will improve my lights at night

only reason i said is the lights i have say theyre not suitable for HID's and they have plastic lenses.

My Connect was fine with HID's passed mot's too But yeh there technically illegal also the higher the number the less light they give and go stupidly blue i had a 6k kit in my connect which were good but ideally 4.5k/5k give better white light

Technically illegal as they're not E marked bulbs, plus they're meant to have washers and self levelling. I've heard that it's being cracked down on at MOTs now.
There's a few different colours you can get some are not far off halogen colour and some are very blue-ish.
Also as your light pattern is dictated by your lense you may get a worse pattern and therefore worse light output.
I fitted an HID kit to my mk3 mondeo (which has clear light lense and uses reflector for beam) and I took it out after a week because it was crap, I ended up having to adjust the headlights right down to their lowest setting so that I wasn't blinding oncoming drivers etc.

If you want better headlights I would run them from a relay and get some decent bulbs like Osram nightbreakers.

Ah well it seems its not worth the trouble I'm just going to get my roof bar sorted and add some 24V spot lights to that i don't want to piss of the law now do i
