hi
i would like as much input or ideas as possible

i am toying with the idea of making copies of everthing i need to mod for my conversion.and thinking of doing a v8 conversion kit and a detailed diagram.
it would also include a wiring harness that plugs into the transit loom .efi and non efi.

also i was thinking of doing the Electric, backdoor, handbrake, and gearselect in a kit form or fitted. as ive had a lot of interest. off able bodied and the disabled members who are being ripped for £££££££££££££££'s for the same sort of thing.....

everything will be a very reasonable price that everyone could basically afford. as i know what its like working on a very tight budget

i know if i could of got a kit that basically bolts everything together with minimal thought and then i just plug the loom in and job done.
i know thats the way i would of gone instead of researching until 5,6,7 in the morning for the last few weeks till i got the virus giving and suffering major brain ache

its just a thought i cant say what sort of prices at the moment until ive priced up the costs but they would be priced to sell not to rip any you...

anyone interested please
reply
thanks :D

I think the best thing you could do is just make cardboard templates for the metal stuff you need and document everything else as well as you can, that way you wont have any initial outlay and it will only cost when someone places an order :D

I'd love to say yes make me a set....but!.... I would have to find a very very cheap engine to go with it, and thats not likely to happen any time soon, I think a lot of folks will be in the same situation....Its only us petrol heads that would consider doing it as most folks with a Transit just want an economical work horse, so they stick with a Diesel (and ear defenders  ).

when i was designing the wheel adapters i asked if anyone wanted copies made - i had a bit of interest but it died off. so in the end i just posted a how too and a copy of the engineering drawing. HERE :D
If you can get any drawings of adapterplates etc. made then email them me - with the work were doing to the site we will be able to have them downloadable for any one to print off and share :D

with an adapter plate for gearbox to engine you will need very accurate measurements too, with stuff like engine mounts its not as critical.

when i get my v6 adapterplate out i hope to get a drawing made up and put on the site so anyone can print it off and take it to any machine shop and have one made :D

i got quoted £30 each when i took the drawing to my local machine shop - less if i could get a lot made - but in the end i didnt bother with adapters they made my wheels too wide (my rears have a big offset) i fitted the disk brakes to the axle instead. the fronts were done by the same machine shop for £20 just redrilled standard mk1 hubs :D
