Snow

Postby Brickhill » Thu Feb 08, 2007 4:05 pm

Looked out this morning and saw some of that horrible white stuff had covered my van and everything else here in lovely Wellingborough. Set out for work at 6.45 and my normal 20 minute journey doubled so not a good start to the day. The main thing is though this is the first rear wheel drive motor that I have driven for about 17 years and I could not beleive how light the back end of the transit is as the back end overtook the front end on 2 occasions and then I got the back stuck at the kerb until I managed to collar this guy to give me a push. Arrived at work to be told go home, got just about all the way home when the final road to encounter has a slight gradient, every other road user was trying to get out of the way as I went up the whole road sideways as I could not get the rear end away from the kerb, got home eventually the van unscathed :D will try again tomorrow. :D
