when i went to view a 260 the other day im sure it was pinched. the chap said that he had locked the keys in and to bypass the central locking you take a hacksaw blade down the side of the drivers side rear door and cut through the central locking wires going into the door. is this right? if so its not a very good design is it? :?

I think it was only on the early mk6's?

Oh and you can get plating just the right size to cover the wires, stopping this.

you can but it would be cheeper to smash a window
like scbk says you can protect from it  also it doesnt allways work so you could be left with cut wires and still stuck
