What do letters mean

hi all , what do the letters mean on transits , eg 350l or 350e or 350ef, my current jumbo 140 is a 350e although the dvla says its a 350l ,my last 140 jumbo was a 350ef , same van different letters ,my camper is a 350l so what do the letters mean

L long
E extended
Ef extended frame

Both E and EF mean the same, and really mean jumbo when referring to a van

I tried to explain this to the DVLA yesterday as my jumbo is registered as a 350l but I might as well of asked my nan because the bloke on the phone hadn't got a clue what a transit jumbo was and said an 350L will just mean litre as in a 3.5 litre , I explained that its a 2.4 litre and that a jumbo is a metre longer and should be a 350E or EF ,I heard that bit of information drift off into the atmosphere and not register with the guy , he then said its how the van would of been registered from the factory , so I told him about ford etis and that on there its a 350E but I had really lost him at that point

I wouldn't even bother asking them most of the staff at these government places are just there to get paid and go home, can you not fill out an amendment on the v5c and send it off. N

this is what im going to do but they do want proof that its a 350E even though they don't know what it is ,after all its just a letter difference , so I will have to print off ford etis page and send that too
