I have a R reg 2.5 diesel transit.This time of year ,when cold i have a hell of a job starting in mornings ,even bought a new battery but still trouble starting ,my model transit does NOT have glow plugs therefore fuel is cold .Does any one have any tips about starting in cold mornings ,its driving (or not ) me crazy ,I need it to get to work early in mornings.Has anyone else have this model without glowplugs :(

Did you get a decent enough replacement battery Moss ??

Though even mine labours abit in these temps.

If you have a good battery you need to check the voltage at the starter and also the voltage when cranking, you might find that there is a voltage drop due to a bad connection!

I had something like this during a cold spell a while back..thought it was the battery or starter.I found out the a starter bolt was loose. which has the earth lead on it.check the leads .
