well you made me wonder so ive just been out and tried it and i cant its because of the ply lining i guess :D

Yeah, get a luton! We have a 5m body on one of ours, more space in that than some studio flats in Knightsbridge!

Mine is a mk5 hi top,ply lined with 3mm ply,1"battens holding it out as far as i know...my bed space is 5'8"across....so i've slept there,but with my knees bent!!!!

or buy a crewcab turn back seat area into bed! just so happens id like to sell mine !

I made my mark 3 lwb high top into a sort of a camper putting a double mattress accross the width of the van an had 8 days away in it at easter with no problems at all and im 6ft van isint ply-lined and a double mattress does take a bit of squashing in but it goes just.... if you get the chance buy a hi cube for that extra length :wink: :wink:
