Worst starting Transit

What is the worst starting Transit you've ever had for starting on really cold or damp mornings? How long did you have to crank it over for before it would fire up? And what would it pull up a really steep hill like with a heavy load when the engine was stone cold?

 simple answer, the one I have now, when the injectors were fubar had to use sleazy start to get the bugger going in winter, as for hill well it would cut out and nearly kill me

So the question is what van have you got and what's the problem your having?

Mk1 with 2.4 York with a single glow / flam plug in manifold had many come for 5000 mile service and the air filter completely burnt away just the outer rings left all paper bits gone .a lot better when they came out with four glow plugs in the head .
