Maybe they've finally caught on to the fact that a lot of late registered Mk5s and LDV Convoys (all fitted with a Euro 2 Di diesel engine) had scraped through the original criteria of an August 2000> registration date :?: :?

Doesn't explain why my "out of scope" transit has now been brought in to scope (i.e. they have decided its not a car any more)?

I have emailed TFL to ask whether there has been a mistake, and I have also put a freedom of info request to the mayors office to ask why sub 3500kg vehicles are now having compliance issues when they didn't before.

Let see what happens?

Today i also got in touch with tfl. and uploaded a photo of my v5c showing that my van is below 3.5 tonne. Waiting for an answer in the next 10 days hopefully.
From what i can make out, looking at the new stricter rules for lez from march 01, it only affects heavier buses trucks vans etc, that are over 3.5 tonne.
Do you guys agree with that? Terry

Yes, that's why I posted this earlier on the thread :)

One of the things I asked for in the FoI request was whether the criteria had changed for sub 3500kg vehicles, and if so where it was published and where the consultation for it was published...

Lez and the mk 6

Postby timewarptel » Fri Apr 23, 2021 9:31 am

Hi all, re khans tightening of lez in london,
How many of you guys in london, have actually got a pcn, not a warning, but a pcn, for driving in greater london, in ignorance of this tightening of lez from march 01.
I ask, because i got a warning, for driving my 51 plate mk 6. I have had to cancel work, eg light removals, and i am waiting to hear from lez why mk 6s are now subject to lez.
Some people have implied, the cameras are mainly as you enter london, and they have carried on driving, in inner london. Right now im worried to take van out of car park! Terry

Lez

Postby timewarptel » Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:39 pm

Hi all, re the mk 6 and tougher lez. Still not taking van out of car park yet! Lol....hope im not stating the obvious or anything. But went on some online site for checking euro ratings, and my van came up as euro2. Then i had a virtual chat with fords, to ask them what euro rating my van is, and they said euro 3, which is what I always thought it was! So tfl are maybe classing mk 6 vans as euro 2 now? Has anyone on here had any success yet in convincing tfl , regarding this matter? Terry

LOL, I only wind up twats Terry, I’m sure you’ll be fine. My MK6 reg was KJ02 AVY, check it and see how you interpret the results.
