With 3 weeks it will be a year, since ordering, still no news from Ford.
Ford dealer still waiting on orders from april 2021 and so on...

Starting to wonder if the Transit is still a active model .

Still no update on my Tourneo Custom, it will be a year in October since ordering and I haven't even had any word of a build date yet.

Ordered in February, now been told build in September, delivery mid November.
That's better than I was expecting.

Bugsy46,

Did you already get an update?
I'm past 13 months still no idee when production will start for orders from 08/2021 and foreward.
Last i heard was delivery time is now at least 16 months....

Dealer gets no updates from Ford.

Change, my dealer is now saying they can't give a date.

Do I really need to order vans now for delivery in 2023 and 2024?
This is getting rediculous.

Netje, no I haven't had any change in status. I'm pretty much at 12 months since ordering and I haven't even been given a build date yet. I'm getting sick of it now to be honest, they told me May 22 delivery before I ordered, now they can't even provide a frigging build date a year later.

Think the manufacturers are concentrating of there EV range.

The MAN Van I managed to jump on a few months ago was delivered last week. I didn’t want the van anymore so released it to the dealer so he could sell it. The price I was given was £39 k + vat for the van, is on there website at £47 k + vat today.

At what point are they going to stop taking orders for the Custom, considering people are still waiting 12+ months for a build date and deliveries of the new one are apparently starting next summer?

I'm going to take a punt and say the initial build date you received was completely made up! I'm surprised there isn't more talk about this to be honest, I've only seen a handful of 22 and 72 plate Transits. Interesting that they gave you another build date though, I'm yet to receive those words despite approaching 14 months .....

There are quite a few round here, mostly part of the hire fleet of Enterprise, or emblazoned with an Amazon smile on the side. These are obviously Mk8s rather than Customs, but I'm going to say that generally the fleet customers will be prioritised, and you/us one man vanners will always be waiting for the crumbs from the production line.
It's just the way it is these days :(

They've stopped taking orders for diesel Mk 8s. Apparently factory capacity is full until end of 2024.
Same thing could happen to Custom until the new one comes out.

Thought as much when the Tourneo Custom build options had disappeared from the ford website. I received a message last week saying your Tourneo will be built at some stage, we just don't know when due to a parts shortage....

Just a general enquiry.

Are Ford honouring the original price quoted when ordered, or are they changing it. ?

Just had a quote for a new Custom. I don't know if this is dealer specific but the quote itself is only valid for the day it's provided, so even if you place an order now and put down a deposit you'll still be vulnerable to manufacturers price increases and/or spec changes. And considering there's still a 12 month+ waiting list (factory not currently taking new orders until they clear a backlog) it's likely there will be increases at some point.

As an aside, even with 'the best discount' the dealer can give, a Sport with a few options is still pushing £47k. Really can't justify it anymore.

Price agreed at point of order has always been honoured for me.
