How new a 2nd hand transit do I have to consider, in order for it to have Aircon as standard?

There are older models with aircon. Or be like one of the members here, Guy88, who fitted it themselves.

Fitting it is not an option......I suppose I just have to trawl adverts to find one with aircon. I also want one with no bulkhead between the driver and the rest of the van AND I am wondering about a possibility of a safe pair of back seats.

It was NEVER standard But an option
An expensive one at that

1995 onwards and a better chance of finding a Tourneo with air. than a van

Its mostly tourneos that had AC. it is an unusual option to have

On '98 - '00 vans there is a vent in the passengers wing. indicates A/C or the rarer 115ps engine

and a quick look at the heater controls will show

As said i have fitted AC to mine and its cost about £300 for all the bits including a BRAND NEW condencer

As i have offered befor. if you get the bits, bring me the van and il fit it

Nah mate Mines got the right box Had one of those cog boxes and glad to see the back of it along with that dreadful pedal on the left At over a thousand presses of that pedal a day my knee was killing me and if this van didn't come along when it did, means I would have never got to know all of you wonderful people with this forum

The bulkhead bits you don't like are an option that can simply be unscrewed. If you get a van with one in and are in the Essex area, I'll remove it for you and swap it for a rear seat

Can't believe all this help being offered....... have to have aircon because I've got dogs..... don't want the bulkhead as I will get the van fitted with cages for my dogs and want to be able to get to them without necessarily getting out of the van. The seats.... well I do have grandchildren and carry them too now and then.....

id go for a tourneo and take the back row of seats out

Nice bit of kit too!

I'll be taking out the back seat to put my dogs in....
