reason being is im going to upgrade my CB to an 'in dash' one so i need me 2nd slot back and therfore i need to move my power panel

How so, it will be in the middle. you could always make a short console as autoplas called them that was excatly what it said and was from roughly about 12 or so inches back from the screen, you would be hard pushed to find one these days but might find pictures on old van/cars on a custom vehicle site...they were rather tacky, made from blow mould injected plastic but the concept was good.

They still exist as a company but don't make the roof units anymore perhaps because most cars these days have a sunroof??

How about the Aussie on here that made that one out of an ice cream container? Can remember who it was but it looked good.

dont know how i manage it but i hit me head on the CB. thats in the middle behind the lamp.

I also use the space between the seats to get into the crewcab
