how come for some reason when you drive the speedo clicks about every 20secs :?: :?:
only just started it and does ya head in as i throught it was a mouse at 1st :lol:
I'am the only man with no dad as i was created in a chemical spillage in a factory

this might sound daft but hows a worn cable make a click?

and how do thay work of the engine? :idea:

Try re-setting your trip meter :wink:

Worn/broken strands of cable twisting in the outer cover :!:
Worm drive I believe without looking :!:

Do what Andyg suggested first "Try re-setting your trip meter"

had this myself and it drove me mad too! i then noticed that i had reset the trip counter but it hadnt reset fully and was stuck and that was clicking. i reset it again and it was fine, so as andyg suggested try that first!

I had a Mondeo that use to click sometimes. Use to sit in the yard and click. You could drive it, then it'd start clicking, after a while it'd stop. Never made sense of that motor.
Current Transit: Mk8 tourneo Sport with go faster stripes.

Long time sold: Mk5 LWB 190, 2.5di banana SHR, 3 seats, SLD, Twin rear doors (rusted bottoms), manual locking & windows.
