bulkhead fixings

Postby essex iain » Mon Dec 31, 2007 4:55 pm

ive bought a bulkhead for my new van. to fit it i need to either use nuts and bolts, as i havent got the original captive nuts. are they still avaliable from fords?

they fit in to a hexagonal hole, and provide a thread for the bulkhead to bolt in to.

i can nut and bolt down the sides easily enough if necessary, but the floor holes seem inaccessible from the underside. if i cant get bolts through the floor im a little concerned it may not withstand weight hitting it when i brake very well.

You don't say what year van this is but the captive nuts for Mk5, 6 and 7 should be avaliable from Fords and not very expensive.
