Can't say I've ever watched the UK version of Gimp my ride, and looking at that pic I don'tthink I ever will! This is one thing I'll concede the Yanks do a whole lot better than we do. I caught Overhaulin' at the weekend - they were doing an old, but very rust free Firebird. Complete rebuild - whole shell taken back to bare metal. Complete new and uprated running gear - brakes, wheels, suspension - the works. Brand new 440 horse V8 - first off the production line - with CNC ported and polished heads to take it to around 500hp. Complete new interior with custom made seats and a monster custom built audio system in the boot. Custom one off paint job. End result looked and sounded amazing and the owner was proper made up with it. That's how it SHOULD be done.

But we get that tosser westwood who makes me cringe every time he opens his mouth and a pic of a bunch of effeminate blokes down the side of a van. Marvellous. My application form for the County is in the bin.......

pimp my ride is just a laugh not a proper restoration program like Overhaulin' just dont take it seriously i thought the van was great but i wouldnt let them loose on mine they did a car once and ceramic tiled the floor
