transit mk5 stereo wiring

i got given a kenwood cd headunit but its only a single din type so ive bought the fascia adaptor and also these iso leads so i dont have to chop the wires and when it come i fitted it but the speaker connection on my van is smaller than the ones i boughthttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=011 they have said they will give me a refund but what can i do insteaddoes any one know if there was more than one type of connector used

They are the correct ones you have bought, they should plug straight in with out any problems :)

hello
they look like they are the same as i have fitted to convert my mk5 transit radio connections
so they should fit yours just make sure you plug them the right way round as they are easy to get mixed up

i then cut off the rear connectors on the link piece to connect up my 6x9 in my sub box as my van only had wiring for the door speakers

amazingly it sounds alot better than the standard ford radio that came with the van

i tried them every way as they only go in one way but they werent having any of it i will try and take a pic of the two connnetors together so you can see what i mean i thought it would be plug an play this free cd player is just not meant to be :lol: :lol:

hi mate the adapter connectors are bigger than the ford wiring but do fit, they just sit to one side of the plug to line up with the wiring, hope this helps.

ive done loads of them, I actually fitted a cd player into the girlfriends ka yesterday. mind you hanging around a mates car stereo shop a few years back gives me a fair idea of the sort of problems that can occur with connectors

all sorted it went in after all thats what i get for trying to do it in the dark just like a big kid a xmas :oops: :oops: the wife is giving me sum stick now tho :roll:
