i bought some diy kits from boston market for £5 a kit and if i remember correctly there were 2 magnets and the vinyl letters in each kit, they looked ok on my van and never blew off.
They were made by a cheap tool company called JAK and they were on one of the tool stalls so you will probably find some on your local market
