i may be changing my mk5 van for my cousins mk6 51 plate its got remote locking but not electric windows or mirrors or fog lights is there a way i can quickly tell if its got the wiring hidden for these and would it be easy to fit a erbespacher setup into it maybe out of a ex bt or similar and twin batterys any advice appreciated

If it's got high spec wiring your laughing, but if it dosen't it's alot of work.
The van you describe sounds unlikly to have the high spec wiring, but the only way to tell it to look.

Twin batteries are easy to fit, try a search as a few people have done it including myself.

Guy88 is your man for diesel heaters :wink:

i fitted aftermarket electric windows from an ebay seller and they work perfect, the only thing is you would need to buy ford switches and pods to make it look original, i just fitted the switches they supplied and they look fine to me.

i personally dont see the point in electric mirrors, mk6 mirrors are brilliant for seeing and i havent adjusted them ever.

heated windscreen is the way forward 8)

im used to having the electric mirrors om my mk5 just handy saves stretching over to alter the glass :lol: ill try and see if i can see any connectors at the weekend when i see my cousin might try with the foglight wiring see if thats there other than that i might just change the loom to a high spec one if this van wasnt on offer i wouldve just got a high spec tranny but this van is too good to pass on

eberspacher depends on what you want it to do

i.e heat the rear for camping, deicing the windows, both
