If you could buy new transit with last of the di engine you would have a great transit,check my nightmare story in tech,=flashing light these motors are about as tough as hot liquorice

Nothing to stop you fitting one, except maybe the emissions for the test.....

As already said, reliability and economy. Up till recently madvanman had an 86 DI in a smiley, it was cheap as chips to run.

well i wouldnt go back to the noisy di engine thats for shure nor back to a mk3 or 4 or 5 the mk6 is a great van to drive and for me to still have it after 2 years is very unusuall , i like it that much i dont think about a mk7 at the meoement

I agree - the performance is a hundred times better and the fuel economy is more or less the same if not better
