effin kids

7 months on from new and my van was dent and scratch free, until tuesday when i noticed 4 nasty little dents on the front wing, one of which was right on the swage line, i knew they hadnt been there on sunday and had certainly not happened when i was in the van, they were too high to be a shopping trolley, so i decided my darling 6 year old would know something about it. It upset me that much I couldnt look at them so i went to my local body shop and he quoted £150 and a day off the road,,not too bad but still enough to pee me off. so i got home and phoned my sons mother and asked her to put him on the phone, "am i in trouble??" was his response, "not if you tell the truth" I told him, turns out, the kid who lives opposite who he'd been playing with, had lost control of his bike, straight into my pride and joy, but they'd been too scared to tell me. My son pleaded with me not to say anything because he didnt want this kid to think hes a grass. so there was a dilema,,,i was pleased he'd told me the truth but didnt want his mate to fall out with him. In the end i went and spoke to the kids dad and he just said to get it fixed and he'd pay and he wouldnt say anything to his son about the actual incident but to be more carefull,,I told him id go halves,,only fair i think!!! anyway,,i took the van to a mate on wednesday who has a body shop to get another quote and he said he knew a guy who he thought would get the dents out without painting it. Ive always been dubious about this, sinse I got someone to take a dent out of the door of my last van and he made a complete codge of it. I spoke to him and he said if he couldnt get it right ,he wouldnt charge me, so I figured I had nothing to loose. he came to my house and half an hour later it was perfect, couldnt beleve how good it was and he charged me £50.well pleased!!!!! :D

alls good in the end mate 8) 8)

take it you get on fine with your neighbors no such luck for me

my old mondo st24 got a nice wee dent in the wing and a cracked bumper as well as several scratches cos of the scrote along the streets son and his midi moto rammed it full pelt right in front of me i was concerned that the wee guy might hurt himself so lifted him along to his parents

explained to his parents what had happened and that my car was busted up and the prick of a dad said well that's what you pay your insurance for  :x
needles to say the wee cnut's midi moto went thru his dads cars windscreen
cost me £300 to get the car sorted with out going thru insurance

but it got better when the father called the local plod cos of it  cops wouldn't do anything about it as it was his word against mine and if they tried me for criminal damage then the son would possibly face going up in front of the panel and getting a asbo
he dropped his complaint :D :D

that sucks mate, some people are just A holes, I know if someone came to me and told me my lad had damaged their car id pay for it, so i expect the same in return. i told my neighbour id go halves because he was playing with my lad at the time so it just as easily have happened to his car. Well done for taking your own form of action,,people like that shouldnt get away with it :D
