that was my link is a good forum that plenty of sound helpful lads on there i thought the electric transit idea was a joke too at first but seemingly they are for real.think some of the lads got details on it and put them in that thread.

I had heard about the Connect but I didn't hear about this one



and on reading the press release from Ford there are not just electric Transits but diesel/electric Transits

They also used electric milk floats for many years; there is a dairy near to me that still uses one

I cannot see them catching on even though some 'big names' have already stated their intent.

The electric vehicle's biggest downside is the batteries - once the technology gets them smaller and lighted then it might be OK. I have a feeling that it will take quite a while before they become an inexpensive everyday commodity.

Yes there will be a change from carbon fuels someday but you can be sure they will NOT be a cheaper option, they will be your ONLY option!

Had one of these as a demo at work a few months ago, think they wanted to try on for the internal post, didn't get any in the end went for 115PS RWD 350's instead.
