if you wanted to you can report the calls to BT or who ever you may be with and they will follow it up even if its a withheld number they know where the call came from.

Similiar problem here but via my business line persistant calls to the missus re insurance/telephones/gas or electric she swears blind she never gave out the number any where but I reckon it must be from some other third party that has linked us together via the post code for example AA and Centrica.

I also had an insurance call from an employee that had changed firms and had obviously cleared out the next three months business prospectus with him and was probably looking for additional new business bonus with the new employer. Atleast that's what my insurer suspected?

When ever we get an annoying call now we ask them to wait and then leave the phone by the side of a small voice tape recorder that either plays the monty pythons "Always look on the bright side of life" / the tune "I know a song that'll get on yah nerves" / or just plain back ground noise of me driving the van. They soon get the message.
