answers from those in the know please...


are there any rules on where the tank can be fitted in a vehicle?

all the lpg vans ive looked at have the tank in the loadspace, on the floor behind a solid bulkhead, and then boxed in with ply, which uses up a large amount of the available space

i'd rather see it under the van - where there is plenty of space, or if its got to be inside - hung from the roof, so at least i can use all the floorspace.

if its possible to mount elsewhere, what would be the likely cost of having the tank moved?

The Mk6's have the tank underneath where the spare wheel normally lives.

There are rules for the mounting of the tank underneath the vehicle - something about ground clearance I'm told.

I had mine mounted in the spare wheel space on my Vito.

iirc its 20cm ground clearance at full bump on the suspension - which is quite a lot!

i managed to get mine where the spare wheel used to be though.

tinley tech sorted me out with the stuff and they are very helpful - and are only a phone call away
