Smiley heater controls-advice wanted

I'm about to change the dash pad,which is battered,in my smiley Hallmark.My problem that the control cables for heat directors are snapped,it appears the swivel bits from the heater box are broke to and someone(a mate) kicked the sh*t out of the heater casing to get some heat into the van and broke that too.
I want to sort all this out while the dash is off,are these bits common to Mondeo's?or do i have to buy new/2nd Transit bits.I have the recirc thing on the blower controls and heater casing looks diffrent to standard vans i've owned.
Hope someone in van world could shed some light on this for me?Or have the bits to supply me?
