In 1984, the York diesel engine was redesigned into the 2.4 L "DI" (direct injection) unit.

I think this is incorrect

In my opion it was York 2,5 L "DI" - in other words same as Mk3 engine?

it is corect 1984 was the di engine i went to the launch! :wink:

this bit is wrong tho !
For the mainland Europe the Transit had the German Ford Taunus V4 engine in 1.7 or 2.0 litre versions.

the taunus never had the 2.0 v4 engine as the german type engine only went to 1688cc :wink:
