A new all wheel drive 140 2.4 tdci short & long wheel base van's now avalible, much needed for forestry, electric & gas industry uses,only same ground clearence as convensional Transit's. The all mechanical HALDEX system is used, taken of the transmission main shaft. No levers to pull to engage the AWD system, all auto. Also has a 4 circuit braking system too, just for an extra just under £4,000, and adds another 80kgs to the unladen weight. J.L.

I don't know where you get your information from, but they are NOT crap. They are absolutely brilliant, I have seen them in action and it is quite amazing what they can do. See YouTube (Type AWD Transit).

Plus they are not sitting in dealers with transmission failure. This is absolute twaddle.
