Yeah the law is a funny one now on towing, I've got my class 2 HGV and can drive a rigid lorry up to 26 tons but I can't tow a bloody trailer over 750kgs. All this because I passed my test after January 97.

Theoretically they are still within the law for all transits, 3.5 T gross, which means in fact they are designed for hauling fully inflated baloons! If they are rated for 7.5T (how?) they can be driven on a pre 97 licence without another test, if you passed after that you need an additional test.

Right Luke, first off. Disclaimer. In the good old days you needed to be 18 with a full license. Guess that's changed now. What do you call a normal braked trailer?. This one I would guess is air over hydraulic, most of these are, or at least most that I've looked at are. Max KG's for the 190 should be 3500. Having a bit of a guess here, would say it can carry around a ton, ton and a quarter. (ish). That's working on the unit being a ton and half to a ton and threequarters, and the trailer half to threequarters.
