 glad im not the only one who feels like that there ok to drive but my smiley is the nuts compared to the mk6's i hate having to blip the throttle before pulling away :( and i have noticed they seem a lot noiser in towns than the smileys although on the mway they are quieter :?
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Not mine, the wind noise coming through the top of the drivers door is really annoying. Don't know if they're all like that or if my lock plate needs adjusting or something? :?
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

Yeah, gospel true...
I had to go on icy roads with ABS once... it was worse than without ABS, although that car had very good winter tyres.
(they say, that car with ABS and summer tyres on snow goes like a sledge...)

Lot of people like ABS, but I hate it... I want to deal and drive, I dont want to watch what is processor doing...

:? well after have a demo mk6 100ps i realy liked it, it was nice to drive and i wouldnt mind one attal! the problem with the smiley is yes they are great vans but they are rusting like anything now even low mileage ones have got the arches on the way! its sutch a shame as they are a great van but when you think the newest one is now 6yr old! :? but i like the mk6 as such i also like the front wheel drive as its more car like, and of corse it gets rid of one of my most hated thing the transit suffers from and thats axle wine!
i mean yes if i new were there was a mint rust free td smiley with all the trimings then i would love one but i dont think they are out there anymore! and also still to this day the transit auto is the best to drive imo just put those armrests down and cruise!  but as mike says its each to there own!

My old '96 and my 2000 - no axle wine. Why didn't Ford put a proper auto box in the mk6 :?: Could have gone for it :!:
Now they're doing the same for the mk7 :!: No auto  At least for now while they decide on what one :?:
Durashift ASM leave it to the racing track :!:

Proof Im not the only one with a silent axle :D
Perhaps the winers need to thrash them a bit harder
But I'm yet to find a solution to my noise generator (comonly known as the Luc-aas pump) It does vary slightly depending on whos fuel I'm using. My 70ps didn't like Elf at all
