Hi all,

Just bought an early nineties swb transit 2.5di for £450 with a years ticket. Pick it up on tuesday, i'll bung some pictures up as the wisdom of the forum collective genius would be greatly appreciated!

Just wondering, I'd dearly love a Transit County, saw one at Peterborough Land Rover Show last year on mud terrain tyres, it was really really cool!

I've been scouring ebay and the usual advertising mags, can't find anything except the odd scrapper.

How many were made, and when? Did the only ever come in LWB form? Is it possible to build a SWB county and has anyone doen this?

I was offered a LWB Mk2 county recently, but we already have one. I can Pm you the number if you like, but IMO the seller wante too much for it (£1500)!

Fair enough, I have no idea of how many of either Mks were made, but it can't be that many, so good luck wioth the search.

county did make the odd swb mk5 as i have seen a few for sale before and when i have been up north and wales i have seen quite a few mk5 lwb hitop 4x4 utility vans

like the mechanic said good old basic engineering cant beat it ya could breakdown int amazon and get fixed
