central locking

Postby crazyscoot » Mon Apr 17, 2006 7:19 pm

Had another look at my sliding door central locking today, I cant work it out? When i lock all the doors the sliding door opens when you unlock the doors it locks!? Ive been without the actuator for polly 12 months or more now becuase the old one packed up. So, all ive done is replace it, no wiring messed with. Well the conclusion (just so i can get it working again) was to take the actuator of the ford bracket and turn the motor 180 degrees and drill and screw it directly to the sliding door. Works a treat but i still dont know why it would have, in effect reversed itself? Are the actuators the same for the front doors as they are for the sliding door?

You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

will only go in one way. I even pulled out 2 of the 3 pins connected and reversed them. it would then lock but not unlock There are 3 wires = 2x switch wires and 1x earth.

as you can see i got the position wrong the first time so had to reposition it further back. Now instead of pulling the lever to lock it, it now pushes to lock. hope this will help you hicube
