Just before crimbo me & my mate visited a local breakers parked in a corner with their backs to us was two luton vans,with for sale on em my mate was after a cheap luton and started to walk over got half way turned round a muttered their f*****g LDV's 
We visited yard again today and both have been ripped apart and were about to go in the crusher.
Now the bad bit

One was indeed an ldv but the one in the corner hidden by the ldv was infact a MK2 Transit and whats more it had been in mint condition but they had been picked it up with a grab so you can imagine what the cab was like but we had look round her managed to open a door this van had been in absolutly mint condition we could see no signs of welding anywhere chassis steps doors etc were spotless only rust we could see was on the offside wing. Talking to one of the lads he told us a guy up the road from yard had had it from new1985 Breg he was a market trader and had used it every day until the cam belt snaped on the pinto engine he took it off road to put a DI in and bought the ldv till he got it done but took ill. His widow asked the yard to get rid of them and they couldnt sell em so crushed them
