at the moement i have the same as 100ps it works very well i also have camera pogram loaded into it and it tells me even were the mc,donalds are etc ,the only thing i dont like is to many wires everywere ,so i will be thinking of getting a tom tom in the future!

I use a PDA, I run verious different versions of software depending on what I'm using it for. I had a really nice one that work nicely till someone decided to steal it after the backbone cruise last year.

I find TOMTOM is easy to use but mainly use Medion Navigator software which seems to have a few more features and is far easier to add things like the speed camera locations, I even have every Ford dealer in the UK in it!

Its that sat nav that can send you txt messages ect, you can apparently set up zones, so that if the unit leaves the vacinity of the zone, you get a text, had for theft, but also handy for bosses, set up a zone along which a driver should be delivering ect, allow a little leeway, but if he pops off for a quicky with his bit on the side, during office hours - the boss'll know all about it.

Also does mp3 ect, and all for £134

Granted the uk part of the company is in reciever ship but the us part is going strong.

In my old transit I was running a small PC and touch screen with GPS data from my speed camera detector. I run DeLorme Navigator on Windows XP. I'll be fitting an updated version of it in my new van as I mainly use it for mp3 when driving and DVD/video watching when parked up.

The TomTom really is a funny thing with the voice kits you can get - Basil Fawlty or the Psych Professor are hilarious, it's almost worth getting lost to hear what they say. I can't afford my own TomTom but I've been in a car that had one.

The Aldi/Lidl PDA's with satnav seem to be great little bits of kit, not only do you get satnav you also have video, mp3, phonebook and games etc. and for around the same price as the satnav dedicated equipment.
