mk5 vs mk7 vs daily

Right... I have a ford transit 190 LWB hicube, yes the mk5 2000 smiley with the extra panel in the middle.
And I wanted to buy a new transit (or a new van, Iveco preferably, because it is part of ford.

I want to buy a ford Transit Jumbo (twin wheel) but I wanted to ask some q's about it,

Is it bigger and higher than my 190 lwb smiley?
Is it longer than any Iveco daily and higher than any Iveco daily?
And is it the biggest van out there? (longest and highest) without any competition.

I am asking this because I want to convert a van into a campervan but need the biggest van out there (money no object)

All help much appreciated

and which is the biggest transit van out there, EVER!
(I know its the jumbo but im not sure, but is my 190 lwb hicube similar or the same size (height and length, capacity).

(p.s can one put a pop top on a hi cube roof for camping holidays like those Volkswagon campervans(they are a pop up roof which gives you extra sleeping space on a van and will this be possible and will it be illegal?))

There is an XLWB XHR Iveco Turbo Daily Unijet that is the same load length as the Sphincter. It is about 50mm higher inside than the Sphincter and due to the more square shape of the body, it has about 15% more volume.

what I want is the biggest and highest van out there.

If you guys have some specs on the highest and longest or both that would be great.

And has anyone got the details of the longest+highest jumpbo/transit out there?
Any other company vans (iveco merc e.t.c) specs and model numbers that are bigger and longer than the jumbo.

Also my 190 LWB hi-cube transit; is it the biggest out there after the jumbo?

And is it permissible by law to have a pop top fitted on the van to make it roomy and get more beds into it?

(Im 19 with a bit of £ after a 20k lottery win so I want to make a house for myself that wont cost much to spend on (rent bills e.t.c)

Are you looking for a 3.5t van? If you have the cash you might be better off going for a small truck licence like a Cat C1
If you want a big van buy a luton! but remember the bigger that van the more it weighs

All specs on current models of vans will be available on each manufacturer's website

There's more to it than size though. Obivously this site is a bit biased towards the Transit . But there is no point in buying a van that is an inch bigger than a Transit Jumbo but a shed to drive and looks crap

and do you need a normal driving licence for the biggest transit or a truck one?

and also is there other vans similar to the transit that are longer, wider and higher and what are the specs of those as i am bollocked by all these numbers (wish id done well in school)

The newer Jumbos are bigger than the mk5 high cube, which is in turn bigger than the hi top you have at the moment.

Basically the bigger the number the bigger the payload.

The very largest payload transits you would need to do a test to drive it (because its over 3500kg gross) but just dont get one that big!

The biggest Transit panel van is the Jumbo

It is available in single or dual rear wheel

IIRC it is available in the mk7 in T350, T430, T460 - gross weights of 3.5t, 4.3t, 4.6t
on the mk6 it is T350 and T430 only I think

If you want space then a Jumbo 350 SRW

you can have a 350 HD which is twin wheel but same van,

The 430 and 460 require C1 licence
