Over the years I have given various answers to this time worn question.
A question seemingly hard wired into most Older Kiwi Bloke's heads.
See Transit, mention V4...

...nah mate, its the Cortina motor...
...nah mate, its the straight four...
...nah mate, its the 2 litre motor...

nice chap asked straight off today if she had the V6 :)
but mainly its the V4 thing :D

no :lol: he's got a 2.0l pinto,
i'd guess over there the older generation seem to think they all had V engines :?:

The V4 must have been quite a performer to become so deeply burned in our motoring culture :)

:lol: the v4 is a great engine if you get a good one :wink: get a bad one and you know about it! :? i thuort it was strange as you have a mk2 ! :lol:
