Fuel Economy . . again!

Ok was going to hijack the previous thread but thought better of it.
so here goes; Went off to Anglesey last midweek for a short break before a weekends racing at the Anglesey circuit. Into the tank went 32 litres of veg oil / acetone mix [nearly running on fumes prior to putting this in] the night before setting off. On the way there finance dictated a fill up of 30 litres before hitting the island [and presumably inflated diesel prices]. Went to Bangor from Moelfre, Valley from Moelfre via the 5025.... Friday tracked off to Anglesey circuit via Llangeffni..... Later on that day paid a visit to the Sea Zoo [near some place I have trouble pronouncing :) ] from there to Caernarfon and back to the circuit. While at the circuit a kind gentleman donated 25 litres of Avtur / oil mix for the journey home :) . A trip to Bangor again for the usual indian curry and a return to the circuit . .several smaller journeys were undertaken but I wont list them all  .

So, towing a caravan loaded up with enough clothes and food to sustain a small army for three weeks and the three of us, we covered a total of 596 recorded miles and used about 90 litres of fuel, travelling at speeds around 55 mph returned fuel consumtion near the 30 mpg mark :D :D.

Finally the sat-nav indicated a speed of 69 mph   along a short stretch of the A50 near to Derby on the way back. Never had that kind of speed whilst towing before from the ol'girl...must just have been one of those days.

Imagination....our only limit....
there's no such thing as a daft question.

30mpg?
That's good going!
I only managed 26 in France whilst not towing anything. :(
Mind you my mate drove for a bit and think he just stood on the pedal the whole time! :x
