just been looking at tyre prices, and found this------185/80xr14 95t-make top tyre-up to 118 mph speed rating, 23.80-- postage/packing cost are included in the price.

They will need to be commercial tyres Comet. Forget the speed rating.

Mike's right comet. We had a van fail the MOT cos the tyres we bought it with were not commercial rated.

not looking for tyres, just put it on cos of cheap prices for car tyres.

They weren't commercial rated. No biggie, we just fitted new tyres and gave the old ones (legal on a car) to my brother in law cos his Volvo was the same size of tyre.

well i searched and couldnt find anything official that said tyres needed to be commercial rated - just have a weight limit above the GVW :!:

As long as the load index is correct or higher is it still necasarry to use comercal tyres??

Remember ours are mostly class 7, don't know if that matters.

- im not saying im right but ive done some reaserch and as i understand it the answer is NO :!:

and ive fitted non- commecial marked tyres to my van but the Li is higher than the GVW
