well ive nearly done the ifs conversion and ive got a car parking space free so i was itching to get an engine anyway after trawling the local papers and finding nowt decent, then, i got out bid on this last week ......................... then just now ive won this one This one



So its all systems go im hoping to get the engine in an running over the winter and when the van comes out NEXT summer it will be cossy powered

Clear indicators means its got the later loom i think Means an extra fuse box and more wires you dont need

I had a feeling someone on here would be having a go at that one I've been watching it and thought how cheap it was, considering it still has M.O.T on it.

and u get electric leather seats like mine.......I need a rear electric rear seat switch as well(hint)and a window switch(another hint!!)

I might be swimming against the flow here but that car looks too good the break I would fix the body up and keep it as it is and look for another Granada to use as an engine donor, especially with the length of MOT on that one you have now got. More so if that is the version that has the loom with all the un-needed bits.

i saw that one but decided it was to far from me, the one in canterbury near me is on again, i've won it twice but not at reserve, so will be going on it again tonight, the guy might get the message that its not worth the 300 he wants for it, i am thinking of a later engine out of a frog eye scorpio but don't know if it can be wired and i've been told they are a crap engine.



here's the engine amd box i want for the van but i won't have the money for a couple of weeks, hoping it doesn't sell and it will be mine.

well i just got it home, i got a mate to drop me off and i drove it back im very impressed its the first time i'd driven a cossy one, ive had the 12v ones before but never a 24v

anyway set off and as soon as i got on the A1 i had a front blow out nothing too serious but certanly couldnt drive home on it i pulled over thinking here we go no jack no wheel brace no spare ..................... but they were all there this must be my lucky car and a bonus the spare was an alloy too and not flat
so 5 mins later i was on my way again traffic was quite heavy so i only managed 110 ish but i think the speed reads high the acceleration from 70 was awsome and i'd prefer it on a manual - like it will be in the tranny
cruise controll works too - i wouldnt mind fitting that in the van - also the trip computer is quite neat - mabe fit that if i can but i dont really want it ruining the retro dash

all in all im pleased engine seems good no rattles but i must admit i didnt give it a proper going over - i was kinda stuck either buy it or walk home

and markM i know where your coming from "too good to break" is my motto but not this time its a nail, fixed up its worth £500 tops and i cant be bothered anyway its a crappy saloon hatches look loads better
