yeah but i dont have a fuel gauge so i cant run it to the bottom
nowt wrong with me calcs but me speedo isnt correct - but according to the sat nav its about 10% high

It's just that when I fill up it normally goes over 68 litres because there's alot of crooks down here

You're right about the speedo. They are usually biased that way

also the best ive had is 43mpg (un corrected) but as it wasnt me who filled the tank so i didn't post it! it could have been filled short

i know this van is a good un mpg wise out of all the vans ive had its the best one - i had a brand new 98 flareside and best i got from that was 35

i always work out the mpg my cars/vans do its part being a tight yorkshireman and also usefull when you have a problem - you know what it did when you got it

i might fill my spare can and see how many miles i can do on a tank - ive done a run to bradford on this one so it should be quite high

just done 487 miles works out at 31mpg not as good as last time but ive been towing the trailer a bit!!!

thing is i put 70.58 litres in and i didnt run out, are they ripping me off or is that acceptable

I used to run quite low as I was doing alot of miles but always carried 80 litres of fuel in the back and plenty of filters. The most I ever got in was 76 litres.

69 litres, but you'd moan like f$*k if you had a 69 litre tank and could only get 60 litres in wouldn't you! The tanks are oversized to allow for loads as this changes the angle of the tank and also temperature.

If you really feel that you are being stung then as Luke says give weights and measure a call, but what you need to remember is all pumps are checked and sealed and can be checked at anytime!
