A Welshman in Scotland with an English MK1

Postby welshrussell » Sat Dec 16, 2006 6:15 pm

I've only had my MK1 since July this year so didn't really know what was going on with Billingdon!

Is there anything else I could go to from Edinburgh?

Is there a Scottish posse of the Transit Forum that get together?

I'd really love to get to a show next Summer so don't mind driving down to the SE of England.

Any recommendations and dates for shows next year?

Many thanks.

Whoops - sorry Mark  Yes I mean Billing!

I'll keep my eyes open in the Events section.

I am looking forward to having a beer with you and the other Forum Members.

I've had a lot of good advice and support from you guys :D

Superb - it would be cool to meet up around Loch Lomond or somewhere and the Convoy idea to Billing is something I would definately be interested in. Please keep me in mind for anything you've got planned for Scotland :D

will do russel but was thinkin if it was a convoy down to billing then it would be somewere like strathclyde park for motorway access or somwere in the east dont know would need to get a idea of the numbers up here think we only have around 6-8 members up here :( but could maybe do a bit vehicle shareing that way it halfs the fuel bills for some :D

Sorry I misunderstood  - Yeh, I'd come to Glasgow to leave for Billing but I thought if just the Scottish Trannies wanted to get together, somewhere like Loch Lomond would be central for us all to meet.

There isn't an official Scottish branch of the forum is there :?:

Maybe it's time for the Scottish Fords to stand up and be counted :D

I think I will ask for some advice from Luke and Mark about this and how they feel about having the members in Scotland chatting together :?:

It's just that sometimes I feel a bit left out of things because everything and everyone seems to be based in South England :o

The M8 really helps and The Trossachs are a cool place for a blast around the lanes :D

Maybe I should volunteer to try to put something together - what do you think :?:

Well - this is a promising start 8)

I'll have a think over Christmas about how we can get together in the North with an open invitation to the rest of the Forum.

I'm sure there are places and events happening up here to keep all amused, and I've been to Campsites that have truly stunning surroundings (except for the midges if you go in August  )

I'll PM Mark with my idea and see what he thinks :D
