they do not have £1 notes in england, very backward nation not like us.

You know, of course, why they look so crappy They are designed to look like the Euro notes, and they will all be changed over time, so that when someone eventually takes us into the European Currency, no bugger will notice the difference (apart from the large price hike, of course)

Never had a problem taking them in my shop, the bank take them just the same as English notes.
