I need a 1960's transit for a day, can you help ?

Postby MrMop » Mon Aug 13, 2007 11:15 am

Hi all, new to this forum so please be gentle with me !!!!!

I very good friend of mine is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his family business on 30/08/07 in The new forest area and he is desperate for a white 1960's transit van to be the star of the show, as this is the vehicle that help make the company the success it is today.

He is willing to pay for the hire of the vehicle ( no driving is required it will be a static display) or make a donation to charity of your choice.

Can you please help me, this would be such a great addition to a special day.

Regards

Welcome to the forum! White is a very unusual colour for the 60s, I don't know of one but maybe somebody here will.

:? can't remember what a Mk1 looks like BigNiel? You know what they say, if you can remember the 60s, you weren't there. So I suppose you must have been there

when was the last time you saw on in person, on the road today? The last time I saw a white Mk1 was at Donnington Classic Commercial show two years ago, and it was a L reg Mk1 phase2. Come to think of it, it's the only time I have seen a white Mk1 van in person.
