Life on Mars!

Postby MrMPuk » Sun Jan 08, 2006 7:03 am

Has anyone seen the clip advertising the new BBC series life on Mars? It's about a cop that gets transported back to the 70s and in the clip there was a rather nice looking MK1 with bullnose front!

Starts Monday 9th January 2006 and from the looks of it there are lots more 70s motors in it, so it's gotta be worth a watch!

I was talking to Mark about this, 9.00 tomorrw, looking forward to it! The Cortina croud are not so happy, the 'star car' is a bit far fetched, may not have exsited in 73, still I know all about that.............

Saw another clip on this, the main character fall into a coma and wakes up in 1973, there is more of the Mk1 in that clip, so I am hoping that it features well. Wonder who it belongs to?

i'll go deeper into the anorak thing rob, and see if my knowledege is a match for yours. only facelift mk3 s were 2000e's, i never saw a 2000e in roman bronze; in fact was'nt that an early colour anyway? the front grille looks like a gxl to me. so if it's a bitsa at least the front is right. still might be fun to watch! makes a change from my sweeney dvd box set...

Spot on mate :D
deffo a 2000E as it has the facelift dash but has GXL badges on the front wings and 2000E on the boot, still good stuff though.
