MK2 with adjustable wheelbase?

Postby ovlov » Fri Aug 18, 2006 8:58 pm

 Went to a farm sale recently along with all the usual farmy stuff was a MK2 swb van been stood for years rotten as hell, after some serious bidding it finaly sold for a staggerig £3  Watched two lads try to load it onto a beavertailed Cargo   they backed the Cargo up to it put down the ramps fastened the winch round the front axle and started to pull well the front started to move but the back didnt it just split behind the doors,so they decided to put the rope under it and around the rear axle and pull it forward this worked till the front wheels hit the ramps then the van started to get shorter, then they decided to fasten two rachet straps round the front axle and back to the rear axle then put the rope aroud the front axle and started to pull this actualy worked and after about an hour it was loaded on  We followed it from the sale going down the main road just about to overtake it when the offside wing blew off the van just missed us  I asked one of the lads what he was going to do with it :?: said he was going to do it up as they'er very rare    nowadays

weigh it in pile of s**t
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.
