Marinising a diesel

I would be surprised if those perkins cant be sorted, it might cost a bit, but then how much is it going to cost for 2 tranny engines and both marinised, i have seen a perkins in a terrible looking state as you describe but it ran a gain and very well as well. Plus on top of that if you did sort the perkins then they would last forever and probably be worth a bit more than the transit engines i would have thought.

Well i would like to sort the engines out, but from what i have seen it doesnt look possible, like i said 1 engine has had the injectors taken out and water had got into the cylinders and i dont know how long it has been in there, once i get the chance to i can take the heads off and examine them closely but until then i need some sort of ideas with what i can do

I recently aquired a motorboat in dire need of 2 new engines,i have been considering putting 2 transit diesels in but what would i need to marinise them ? and seeing as you lot are the gods of anything transit i thought i would ask you

Speak to me, I just done one with massive help from these guys - its now 160hp and ran it for the first time (properly) yesterday, it got a massive turbo, bigger injectors bla, bla its all on here somewhere.

You wanna hear it now, revs right out, sounds sweet as a nut and the turbo is louder than my scooby!

Mind you it can be done relativley cheaply for a standard one giving around 80hp which is more then the perkins (only a london cab) gives you anyway.

Remember each built engine will weigh 260kgs! so what sort of boat are you putting them in?
